  1. PICTURE ID & Proof of SC Residency (SC Driver License, PREFERRED)
  2. Signed Liability Waiver Click Here, Sign and Bring to class.
  3. Any legal, concealable Handgun may be used for qualification
  4. Proper FACTORY Ammunition for your handgun (50 minimum)
  5. Range Holster if available
  6. Cleaning Kit as appropriate
  7. Personal Hearing Protection (Expendable type available at $2/pair)
  8. Personal Eye Protection (ANZI certified available - $5/pair)


 

IMPORTANT

This Class is NOT for beginning shooters.
Basic Pistol Training is recommened before attending this course.   Please Contact the instructor to schedule if necessary.

  • COMPLETE application
     
  • Copy of Training Certificate containing Instructor Signature, Exam/Range Scores
     
  • A cashier’s check, certified check, money order of $50.00 made payable to SLED; or proof of Disability or LEO Retirement.
     
  • Photocopy of your Driver’s License or SC ID (ADDRESS MUST MATCH Application)
     
  • Two (2) complete sets of fingerprints. (Digital Rendering PREFERRED)
     
  • If non-resident, a Real Property Tax Form (SLED Form R-168)

    Information & disclaimers

    “Concealable weapon” means a firearm having a length of less than twelve inches measured along its greatest dimension that must be carried in a manner that is hidden from public view in normal wear of clothing except when needed for self defense, defense of others, and the protection of real or personal property.

    Specific information on your firearm IS NOT recorded.

    Normal Target or Concealed Carry Arms ONLY - NO Homemade, kit, nor Match Arms allowed. EVERY FIREARM WILL BE INSPECTED FOR SAFETY. Instructor IS sole authority regarding inclusion firearms for CWP qualification

    Ammunition :Store-bought, Branded/Boxed, Manufactured ONLY

    Moderate Calibers Recommended for Qualification. Magnum/HIGHER (.40+ calibers will qualify last)

    Range attire should be closed-toe shoes, outdoor wear (comfortable jeans, boots, wide-brimmed hat, etc)
    Soft-sole shoes are NOT recommended for out-door ranges.

     

    Safety gear provided on a 1st come, 1st served basis unless noted on Enrollment Form

    Refund for Cancellation prior to 15 days of class start available MINUS Admin charge of $5 + 7.5%.

    Can I apply for a Concealed Weapons Permit

    Disqualifying Factors PER SECTION 16-23-30, SC LAW

  • convicted of a crime of violence in any court of the United States
  • Fugitive from Justice
  • Habitual Drunkard or Drug Addict
  • Adjudicated Mentally incompetent
